How it works
From question to answer: how Siftica finds the right table, fetches the figures from the source, checks the answer and shows where each figure comes from.
Ask a question
Write what you want to know, ideally with a place and period, for example: How many people lived in Malmö municipality on 31 December 2024? You do not need to know which agency holds the figure. Sign in to send the question.
Siftica finds the table
Siftica searches the sources' tables and picks the one that fits the question. It then fetches the exact values from the source. You can follow the search while it runs and stop it.
The answer is checked
Before the answer is shown, every figure is compared with the fetched data. If the question is unclear, you get a follow-up question. If no source covers it, Siftica tells you. Siftica makes no forecasts of its own.
Read the answer and the evidence
The answer shows the figures with unit and period. Under Sources you see the table, the selection, when the data was fetched and a link to the source. You can also download the evidence as CSV.
Continue or use the answer
Ask follow-up questions in the same conversation, or open it later in History. A saved answer does not update when the source publishes new figures. When you quote a figure, name the source, the measure and the period, and do not mix up counts and shares.
