About Siftica

Siftica answers questions about Swedish statistics with figures fetched directly from the agencies. Read why it exists and how to check the answers.

Why Siftica exists

Official statistics are free and detailed, but hard to find. You often need to know which agency holds the figure and what the table is called. In Siftica you ask the question the way you would ask a colleague. Siftica finds the table for you.

The figures come from the source

Siftica fetches values from the sources' open interfaces. An AI model picks the table and writes the answer, but every figure in the answer is checked against the fetched data before you see it. If there is no evidence, Siftica tells you instead of guessing.

Check before you use a figure

Every answer with figures comes with its source evidence: the table, the period, the selection and a link to the source. The model can pick the wrong table or measure. Read the evidence before you use a figure in a text or a decision.

What Siftica does not do

Siftica does not make its own statistics and makes no forecasts of its own. The figures and the definitions are those of the source. A saved answer does not update when the source publishes new figures, so check the period and the date in the evidence.
